A number of events were held on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance at the Agricultural University
A series of events were held on the occasion of 27th of September - Day of Remembrance at Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU).
The first 15 minutes of the classes in all academic buildings of the University were dedicated to honoring the memory of martyrs, to inform students about the historical significance of the Patriotic War and our achievements.
Then the university administration, faculty and students visited the Martyrs’s Lane in the Ganja city, laid flowers on the graves of martyrs and paid homage to them.
In the afternoon on the occasion of Remembrance Day a large-scale event was organized in the Engineering Education Building of the University.
Acting rector of ADAU Zafar Gurbanov, Ganja City Executive Power Azer Ibrahimov, heads of relevant departments of the university, academic staff and students took part in the event.
First the national anthem was played, and then the memory of martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of our lands, was honored.
Acting rector of the University Zafar Gurbanov said the feat of heroic Azerbaijan Army led by commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day war has been written with golden letters in the history of the world war. He noted that the principled position of President Ilham Aliyev, who highly valued the national interests of Azerbaijan, conditioned our successes both in the Western, diplomatic and information warfare and laid the foundation for our historic victory. As the head of the state said, we won in the battlefield, in the information field and in the political field. May Allah have mercy on our martyrs and give health to our veterans!
Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Multiculturalism Azad Bayramov, employee of ADAU and participant of the Patriotic War Asif Hajizade expressed gratitude to Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the care and attention to veterans and martyrs' families in our country.
Then, a video about the employees of the university who took part in the Patriotic War was shown.
The second part of the event featured compositions prepared by students and poems in the spirit of patriotism.
