33 students of ADAU qualified for pre-selection of an 11-month agricultural internship program in Israel

A meeting with participants of a new pilot program announced by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Arava International Centre for Agricultural Training of Israel (AICAT) for young specialists working in the agricultural sphere was held within the framework of the 15th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition.

Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel Oded Forer noted the close cooperation between the two countries in training specialists in the agricultural sphere. It was noted that the duration of the announced AICAT training program is 11 months. Under the program young specialists will have an opportunity to spend 10 months in Israeli farms. Besides, the participants of the program will have an opportunity to participate in academic trainings both in agricultural and economic spheres for 1 month. The internship program will last from August 2022 to July 2023.

It should be noted that 33 students of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University received the right to participate in the preliminary selections of the program. The students, representing all faculties of the university, consist of bachelors, masters, doctoral students and graduates, of whom 27 are boys and 7 are girls.
