The Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) jointly with the Oklahoma State University (OSU) of the United States of America starts accepting applications for admission to the dual diploma program at Master’s degree in the specialty “International Agriculture” for the academic year 2022/2023

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, Strategic Partnership Agreement and Dual Diploma Program Agreement signed between the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) and the Oklahoma State University of the United States of America (OSU), admission is announced for the 2022/2023 academic year for dual-degree program students in International Agriculture. The joint selection of 10 students for the educational program of the first year of study at Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and the second year of study at Oklahoma State University will be conducted among students enrolled in the first year of the specialization “Business Organization and Management (MBA) - International Agriculture” and meet the following requirements:

• 75 and above GPA (grade point average) in Bachelor’s Degree;
• The level of English corresponds to at least one of the following:

o TOEFL- computer-based test-79 and above
o TOEFL- paper-based TOEFL score of 550 and above
o IELTS-at least 6.5 and above.


• To participate in the competition, students must submit a statement of purpose and two letters of recommendation.
• The competition is open to all undergraduate graduates, especially in agricultural specialties.
• Graduates who successfully complete their studies will be awarded diplomas from both institutions of higher education.

ADAU and OSU have signed a Memorandum of Agreement on the Dual Diploma Program at the master’s level in 2021. Prior to the signing ceremony, the delegation led by Oklahoma Governor John Kevin Stitt, who was visiting Ganja, got acquainted with the ADAU Student House, the new educational building and laboratories. The guests were informed about the material and technical base of the university, opportunities for quality agricultural education, stimulation programs.

An event dedicated to the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement on the Dual Diploma Program at the master's level between the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and Oklahoma State University was held in the Student Park of the university.

Welcoming the guests, ADAU Rector, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov said that his university has been cooperating closely with Oklahoma State University for a long time. The two universities signed a memorandum of agreement in 2019 and a strategic partnership agreement in 2020. The memorandum signed today will allow masters of higher education institutions to receive diplomas from both universities by attending one year of classes in Azerbaijan and a year on the OSU campus in Stillwater.

Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov recalled that the Republic of Azerbaijan and the state of Oklahoma have a tradition of cooperation lasting more than 20 years: “It is gratifying that in 2019, this cooperation began to cover the agricultural sector. Today, we are attending the signing ceremony of an important document that will strengthen cooperation between Azerbaijan and the state of Oklahoma. The memorandum to be signed will have a positive impact on the development of agricultural education, one of the most important sectors of agriculture. Today, our guests got acquainted with our university and saw how much material, technical and scientific potential there is for the development of agrarian education in Azerbaijan. We look forward to the students of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University going to Oklahoma to continue their education, while the students of the Oklahoma State University coming to Ganja to study here".

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Oklahoma Governor John Kevin Stitt expressed satisfaction with the expansion of cooperation with the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University: “A large delegation came with me to Azerbaijan. This confirms how much we attach importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan. The visit was very productive and I am pleased to participate in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement on the Dual Diploma Program at the master's level between the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and Oklahoma State University. I believe that such cooperation will deepen our relations and make a great contribution to both the Republic of Azerbaijan and the state of Oklahoma".
